Jon-Amerin Vorabutra is Vice President of Process and Technology at Nova Molecular Technologies, a company specializing in the recovery of high-purity chemicals. Prior to joining the chemical industry, Jon spent 10 years in the logistics industry working at non-asset based technology companies. Jon was one of the initial employees at Echo Global Logistics (NASDAQ: ECHO) and held multiple key positions that contributed to its growth to where it is today of being a publicly traded company with annual revenues of nearly $2 billion. Throughout his career he has led multiple technology projects focused on automation, business intelligence, and predictive analytics, including the development of proprietary carrier-freight matching systems, pricing systems, and lean integration methodologies servicing the transportation needs of the largest food and beverage corporations in the US. Recently, Jon has gained recognition for a 2016 article he published titled “Why Blockchain is a Game Changer for Supply Chain Management”. His work was cited in the book titled “The Global Supply Chain”, published by World Economic Forum’s Wolfgang Lehmacher. Jon believes the technology behind Bitcoin has the potential to transform the supply chain industry, and the way many other industries will operate. Jon is currently involved in a number of projects aimed at applying blockchain technologies to real world use cases.
